One or two people from one city spend a short period of time with one or more people from another city working in the same field or on similar projects. During the visit, they accompany them, shadow them in their daily work, and meet a number of relevant colleagues. This peer-to-peer learning method helps to understand better organisational set-ups and processes and needs to be based on matching working roles and language skills.
CASCADE has organised five work-shadowing visits between nine European cities: Birmingham - Mannheim, Birmingham-Sunderland, Malmo-Gateshead, Nantes - Venice and Terrassa - Gijon.
